Our Mission Statement

As a Christ-centered community of believers, founded on God's Word, St. Paul's Lutheran Church declares His glory among the nations.he purpose of our congregation is to promote faith in Christ’s vicarious work, to further the Christian life of its members, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the confessional standard set forth in our constitution. To this end, the congregation shall conduct regular church services and Bible classes. It shall provide a Christian day school and Sunday school for the indoctrination and education of its children, and as a direct means of doing mission work among the unchurched of this community (Constitution, Article 3, 2004).

St. Paul’s utilizes many faithful and devout lay leaders to assist the pastors with the various tasks and responsibilities of operating our congregation. We use our time, our talents, and our treasures, in service to God, one another, and our community, knowing that we are but stewards of all that God has given us.

Our church is governed by our Church Council which consists of our officers: the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, as well as representatives of all our boards and committees: Deacons, Evangelism, Fellowship, Properties, Public Relations, Youth Ministry, Stewardship, Christian Education, Evansville Lutheran School, and Memorial Trust Fund.
