Rev. Chad Eckels

The Reverend Chad M. Eckels was installed as Associate Pastor of St. Paul’s on March 16th of 2003 and accepted a call to serve as Senior Pastor on November 20, 2011.

Pastor Eckels had previously served as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oberlin, Kansas were he was ordained in 1998. He graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1994 and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998.

Pastor Eckels is married to Patty, also a 1994 graduate of Concordia Seward. They have three sons: Jonah, Joshua, and Jacob. Pastor Eckels also has a Masters of Science in Family Life Ministry from Concordia University - Nebraska.

Rev. Matthew Schilling

The Reverend Matthew B. Schilling was installed as associate pastor here at St. Paul’s on January 6, 2013. Previously he served as an assistant pastor at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover, North Carolina.

Pastor Schilling grew up outside of Altenburg, Missouri. He attended college at Concordia University Wisconsin where he received a degree in pre-seminary studies in 2004. He attended seminary at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in 2008.

Pastor Schilling is married to Karen, also a graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin. They have two sons, Micah and Caleb, and a daughter, Clara.

Rev. Tich Luu

Pastor Tich Luu accepted our call in July 2015 to serve as Associate Pastor — Missions.

Pastor Luu was born of Chinese parents in the Vietnamese city of Cholon. His parents enrolled him in a Chinese school, because they wanted him to learn the Chinese language and more of its culture. This is where he learned to speak the Chinese dialects of Cantonese and Mandarin.

In 1978, Tich Luu left Vietnam. After an arduous journey, he was admitted to the United States in 1979. He was sponsored by the Lutheran Social Service and Lutheran Church of St Andrew, located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

In 1989, he met Michelle, a native of Taiwan, in California. After a brief engagement, the couple was married.

In May 1990, Pastor Luu earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Concordia University, located in Mequon, Wisconsin, and became a Certified Lay Minister. In 1995, Pastor Luu earned a Masters of Divinity at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and was ordained, one month later, at St. Andrew.

Pastor Luu has previously served congregations in Manhattan, Carbondale, Illinois, Rockville, Maryland, and Germantown, Maryland

Timothy Horst

Tim Horst has served as Director of Music since June of 2000. He is a graduate of Concordia University Nebraska, where he received a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1999. He also earned a Master of Church Music Degree in 2011 from Concordia University Wisconsin.

Tim and his wife Kim, also a graduate of Concordia Nebraska, have three children: Joshua, Eleanor, and Willa.

Zona Morgan

Zona Morgan grew up in Evansville, IN. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1973 and Deaconess Hospital/USI in 1976 with an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

She has been a member of St. Paul’s since 1980. Zona and her husband Dennis have 3 children: Adam, Luke, and Ellen, and several grandchildren.
