Pastor Schilling, his wife Karen, and son Micah plan on being in Evansville by the end of the year. Please keep the Schillings and both congregations in your prayers as we go through the transition.

He was installed on February 5, 2012 by Indiana District, LCMS, President Dr Dan May.

Pastor Eckels graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1994 and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998. He is married to Patty, also a 1994 graduate of Concordia Seward. They have three sons: Jonah, Joshua, and Jacob. Prior to his call to St. Paul’s, he had served as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oberlin, Kansas were he was ordained in 1998.

Pastor Paul has served as a missionary, church planter and seminary professor at LCMS sites in Asia. He attended Concordia, Seward for 3 years, transferred to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (where he graduated with a BA in Linguistics), and earned MDiv and PhD from Concordia Seminary, St Louis.

Pastor Paul and his wife Irene have 3 children – Rachel, Jonathan and Elizabeth. Please join us in welcoming the Paul family to Evansville and St. Paul’s. Click here to see photos from the installation.
