Adult Discipleship / New Member Classes
Adult Discipleship Classes are scheduled several times a year. We will begin a new series of classes on Mondays beginning September 13, 2010. Classes are offered at 1:00 pm and 7:15 pm. Free childcare is available for the evening sessions.
The free 11 week class is intended to prepare non-Lutherans for membership in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, as well as providing a good review of basic Christian teaching for current members. The class will be taught by the pastors.
Non-members who complete the course will be eligible for membership at St. Pauls, however there is no obligation to join.
Contact the church office at 812-422-5414, or one of the pastors for more information or to register.

a>Lifelight Bible Study will resume on Thursday September 16, 2010, with sessions at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. We will be studying Paul’s Letters to the Galatians, Phillipians and Colossians.
Lifelight is a series of in-depth Bible studies. Through a nine week program of daily personal study, combined with weekly group discussion and lecture from the pastor, we may grow in personal faith in Jesus Christ, enjoy fellowship with other members of His body, and reach out in love to others. Childcare will be available for the evening sessions.
Please contact the church office to register at 812-422-5414.
Church Picnic

We will have our church picnic on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Burdette Park Shelter House #18 (take the Graff Rd entrance next to the BMX track at the top of the hill on Nurrenburn Road, which runs in front of the park). Meat will be provided. The youth group will be selling drinks. We ask that everyone bring a covered dish and lawn chairs.
There is limited parking in front of the shelter house. We suggest parking on the drive between the shelter house #18 and the BMX track.

Take the Lloyd Expressway (State Hwy 62 West) to the west side of Evansviile to Red Bank Road and turn south (left).
Follow Red Bank Road until it turns into Nurrenbern Road.
Proceed up the hill past the park entrance and Shelter House 18 and the BMX track will be on the right.
It’s Time – LCMS Unity and Mission

In response to the LCMS’ Blue Ribbon Task Force on Synod Structure and Governance., Synod President Matthew Harrison wrote “IT’S TIME – LCMS Unity and Mission” as an alternative rooted in theology rather than structure, trusting in the gospel rather than the law to bring about positive change in the Lord’s church. President Harrison was executive director of LCMS World Relief and Human Care.
President Harrison also recorded an audio version of IT’S TIME.
It is available for listening by clicking here.
